Ok, so I've encountered yet another problem and thought I'd invite the gamingforums community to help me desperately please!!!!
My modding so far: I'm doing the federation side, with no other side modded yet, and put in all my ships and stations. Now, I can load all the ships and stations into the map editor yet, some of the main federation missions are not working, along with the combat tutorial. This is the problem, random maps are loading whilst other's are not, and stranger still, on the first fed. mission, invasion, it loads and I can control my units as normal but, about 4 seconds after you the cinematics have finshed, the game crashes to desktop.
Now, I'm 99% sure that all my ship and station odf's are perfect with no mistakes, and I've quad-checked them, but I can't work out this problem.
I've replaced all the bzn maps I had with the stock ones just in case, and checked the techtree aswell...
So, any suggestions or ideas to help me? Anybody had this same trouble? If you have anything please reply to this thread as this is deeply frustrating me.
(Note: The tech1 file has been edited for the federation accordingly, but the actual individual mission tech trees have not, could this be causing a problem too?)

Same Problem, when a sertain amount of modding is dont, the games sets off a "Siesmic Trigger" that pretty much makes it impossible to do missions, from a stock game, i have this to and as far as i know the only solution is, Deal with it, sorry but i could never figure out why eather.

my guess is that it's probably the techtree's thats messing it up... but, im not modder, so take it with a large pinch of salt
