I was wondering if there was anyway to modify the demo version of Star Trek Armada 2? Seeing as the price range for the game is $100.00+, being adble to add some more races to the demo would make it be a little more fun, and a little closer to the real thing. I would just like to add a few more ships and another race if it is possible. I have already tried to add another ship to the demo, but then it won't let me start any instant action games. I think that this is a failsafe to make people want to buy the game. If you could help me with this I would be greatful. Thankyou.

There is a failsafe to keep people from having the almost full benefit of the game. If you want to add ships to your game they have to go in the stations folder. Everything else goes where it goes.

So I can still make the ships from the advanced drydock or reqular drydock, it just needs to be placed in the station folder? I'm just trying to get this all straight.

Yes you can add any ship to the game they just have to go in the odf/stations folder instead of odf/ships. Then just follow the rest of the install instructions.

Alright, I tried that, and I followed the instructions in the readme. I put all the files it told me to put in the ships folder, into the stations folder. Then I moved all the SOD files in the sod folder, and then I added the line in the fyard station file. But when I am in the game and gp tp build it, no icon shows up.

I am trying to install the stargateships mod. The file didn't come withany installation instructions so I had to use the ones that came with the dc-304.

If you need anymore information let me know.

There also has to be a button with the ships for you to see it ingame, usually starts with a gb(shipname).tga, you need to put that in the textures folder, then add anywhere under the federation buildbuttons line in gui_global.spr (in misc folder) fshipname.odf b_gbfshipname 0 0 64 64, this will usually get the buildbutton ingame if there is one, but for alot of single ships there won't be a buildbutton.

Thankyou, and I guess there is no chance of adding more maps?

I believe that you are correct in that assumption, I am not 100% sure though.

I am still having problems with this. There are 3 .TGA files in the folder. The instructions told me to place them all in the textures/RGB folder. Then I added this line below the # Federation build buttons line in the gui_global in the sprites folder, b_404 gb404 0 0 64 64 Now when I go to build it, the button does not show up. I'm sorry for all the trouble, just want to use this ship. Should I try to do this with another ship?
