i want to know how to make a multi-targeting phaser and photon torps for the borg cubes, if any1 cud help i wud be greatful. ty to those who rad this and help!! ps cud any1 tell what a Alpha and Beta mod is plz???

Look over at the files for the mods as they have been done to death, as for alpha and betas they are stages of mod development (or in overall project development) Alpha is usually early work and is full of bugs and holes in terms of STA it usually refers to a single race in a TC for example and often is limited in terms of AI (usually the AI isnt ale to use said race) A Beta on te other hand is a more developed project that still has holes and bugs in it but is usually playable and often can be used by the Computer. As well as having some of not most of the finished project. But often there are several stages of the Phases. My personal mod is in build 2 and early Alpha stages currently.

Should be as easy as adding this line to the phaser .ODF entry:

maxTargets = #

You can make that number two or twelve. Well, twelve might be pushing it.

Whether that'll work for torpedoes is an open question. Another idea might be to give them more torpedo launch points (and adding more torpedoes as separate weapons to do it) instead of multi-targeting the torpedoes.

These are different class lables then standard weapons. The "areacannon" label for beam weapons and "areamissile" for torpedos. Now there are some well know issues with using the area cannon. ! the weapon fire at targets beyond weapons range. 2 it will not fire at planets. 3 it is incompatible with the save fire command. I have never used the areamissile myself but I would think that it will suffer from simmial problems.
