This may be just a quick fix if anyone here knows how to do it. You know how at the bottom of the odfs, there may be a few lines of code for context senstive menus? Eg. alert = 1 OR combat = 1. Well I have a ship that I just added in. It's a repair ship except I added weapons to it. Now it can fire when it is on my team but it won't fire when the AI has it. I also want the ship to cooperate in "search and destroy" missions but there is no button on the orders menu for that. It won't react when I press "k". Anyone kow what the problem is? Thanks in advance.

Not sure how to get the AI to use it, aside from modifying the AIP files but to get it to search and destroy you need can_sandd = 1 in the class file (like destroy.odf)

Oh thanks. That worked nicely for the search and destroy. One down. One to go. Anyways, right now, the ship usually warps to death with the AIs puny fleet in a pathetic attempt to kill me so I'm not sure if it can fire or not. I'm guessing it should since combat = 1 makes it fire right?

Sounds right. If you use the map editor, you can add that ship as a different team to see if it'll attack you.

or just set all your units to green alert when the computer attacks, that always works, so you can see what he does, without destorying him. Yellow alert might work also.

Yep, I finally got the time to see if it fires and it does. Took out most of my fleet in the process but at least it's actually firing. Thanks guys!
