I have ST: A2, it has the latest patch from the UPDATE Project. What Iam wondering is; why I cannot have the Ambassador and the Prometheus as well as the "stock" ships. I am asking because, if I load the Ambassador Class, the Prometheus is gone. Then it flips, if I load the Prometheus the ambssador is gone. Is there a way to have both :confused:

Sounds like you're using auto-loader mod installers rather than doing it yourself. This means that the important 'tech1.tt' file is being overwritten every time. 'tech1.tt' tells the game what exists in the various build lists, so if you have a list that is automatically installed, it will overwrite the version of the 'tech1.tt' that includes the reference to either the Prometheus or the Ambassador. This is a mistake we've all made. All you need to do is edit the 'tech1.tt' file (it's in the 'techtree' directory) to include reference to both the Ambassador AND the Prometheus.

Not sure where to post this so correct me if needed, but I recently downloaded Future Wars and have enjoyed it immensely. Then i reached the "rebellion" mission in the campaign. Sadly it reaches 50% at the loading screen and crashes. So I took a look at Major Payne's Help and sorted through all the .odf files and fixed a couple missing quotation marks, specifically the mcolony file which i believe is the culprit in that issue. This has allowed me to play the Maquis in Instant action, however i still cannot load past the 50% point. I am using an original CD, not a clone, and a fresh install. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I must reiterate that I have inspected All .odf files, not just the Maquis ships. Left a post on the i-mod website a few days ago, but it has been since deleted, and i see at least one other person has had this issue. If anyone might know what i can try next, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Also, as an aside though no less important, I wanted to say Thanks to all the Modders and Moderators as well as all the people who just respond with what little help they have. This is the reason gaming is still worthwhile. Ya'll Rock.

It could be a tech tree issue. I'll download the mod and look at it, but it's getting late here so I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

OK, it looks like I won't be downloading the mod. Can you post a zip with the tech trees, please? Unless you fixed it already, in which case never mind.

Sorry for the delay, had to take care of family medical emergency stuff. I can happily post the tech tree ... once i know how to do that. Reading on it right now, just wanted to post to let you know i wasn't ignoring you.

Don't forget to check the AI as well if the tech trees are not at fault.

I understand, family always trumps modding.

Anyway, in your A2 install, there is a folder for the tech trees. Just compress it into a zip file and add it as an attachment.

Would there be a reason I cannot successfully upload a zip file? Like, would i need to be a premium member or is there a handle I should jiggle, because I cannot get the file to upload. I keep receiving a file upload error. Made sure it was an unlocked zip file, not ace and I keep getting rejected. Also the file is only 76k, well under the 4m limit. I'm stumped yet again. Any suggestions? Thanks for your patience.
