Hi All- I have a backup of my Armada II CD and get the following error message "you need your own cd to play". Is there a way around this? I lost my original cd a long time ago. Usually having backups is a good thing, but not when they don't work. Help?!

Resistance is futile, eh?

While I am not in the same situation as you are (I have a legal no CD version), I do need a CD for some of the modding tools e.g. the map editor launcher. What you can do is get a CD image and CD image program such as Daemon Tools. Then just mount the image on your hard drive and play.

I don't spend enough time here

You could always download the patch that allows you to play without the CD.

We (modders) are one.

I would choose Mighty's option as sometimes CD images fail and if your backup doesn't work, I don't think the CD image of it is going to work either. Still, if one fails try the other, but I think these are your only options.

A couple of points:-

1) There is no legal no CD Version of Armada II. 2) Discussion of no CD cracks etc. cannot be discussed on this site; it violates more of the forum and network rules than I would care to count.
