HI all :cya: Cud anybody HELP me plz...:eek: 1) Converting a starbase to research special weapons the same as the borg techass station. But when it finishes the research the pod explodes, tryed a number of minor adjustments to solve it but NO luck? :confused: 2) I have sum stations that av fire coming out of them as if they av no engines like a damaged ship, how do i tell the game that they r not damaged ships?? :confused: 3) oh and cud u look at my prev thread concerning AI issues as i still avnt fixed my dominion AI prob. :) TY for all replies (AssimilateThis)
1) No idea, Sorry. 2) Do you have any physics entries or hitpoints for engines on your station? (You shouldn't have)
i have no engine hitpoint entries or physics files.
1) For research, you need to define research hardpoints, where the research pods will appear. For every research you'll need one research HP, or the HPs will explode. Also be sure that you have proper spelling in the ODF, especially the #include tag, because if you build a pod from a simple station and not a research station, I think it causes explosion as well. Use an original research station ODF and then edit the HPs and buildlist as you need, it's the most simple way. 2) No idea... I had the same problem, but couldn't find the solution.

i recently reinstalled my windows on my laptop and my armada 2 (bo no official patch (forgot), i then reinstalled sum of my mods, inc DOM and REMAN races, and extra ships and stations for my feds, klings, roms, cards and borg. prob is whenever i select the KLINGONS as ally or adversary on the HARD setting it CTDs at the end of the load bar. There ok to plays as and also with/against on easy or medium. Does anyone know of the prob and how to fix it, as i assume the difficulty settings changes the cost/values of the ships and stations so the AI cannot build sumthing on the list, iv had the prob before but lost it all before i had chance to look at it. but i cant see any issues that may conflict with the difficulty settings.
ps freyr i noticed in the AIPDEF.H file that there is a limitation on the number of entries in the build list, written as '#define MAX_BUILD_LISTS 200', and mine has bout 110 entries, so thats still a prob.

The problem is most likely in your .AIP files for the Klingons. Something in there either can't be built, isn't coded properly, or doesn't exist as an .ODF which it can build. The game reads the whole .AIP and checks for corresponding .ODFs and techtree entries before it tries to implement them. Missing .ODFs cause the CTD you're referring to, but missing (or incorrect) techtree entries only become apparent when the AI in question simply sits there and does nothing more.

but as the klingons work when set at both easy and medium i cant find how there cud be a prob with the 'hard' setting. as the AI 'EASY', 'MEDIUM' or 'HARD' will still build according to 1 of the KLINGON AIP lists. As i assume the cost changes, but strangely enough in hard it wud make them cheaper i suppose. What il do tho is reinstall the original AI files (store the hard ctd set), and start again and try ur theory as its still all new to me. But ty to evry1 who looks and replies to the probs im emassing LOL.
soz for prev entry, looks like ur were spot on sfk, its to do wiv row 4, the technology level that makes the ai not build the weaker ships.. im learning, hehe
