Armada II won't install at all; when I tell it to install, the window disappears after showing something about "DemoShield." It's quite annoying; I can install it on my super old laptop (which is running 200, I think), but then it won't launch because the laptop doesn't have a "3D8 hardware accelerator." Please help, if you can.
I'm pretty sure that people have gotten Armada II to run on Vista, if I am not mistaken, there have been threads on this before, maybe you could do a search for Vista or something, see what comes up? I sure do hope it works though.. I'm getting a new computer next year, with Vista and what not, and I very much plan to put Armada II on it. Sorry I can't be of more help, hopefully someone more qualified that me will be able to help you sort this issue out. Good Luck. :)
I dunno, I have A1 installed on my windows vista laptop with the Millenium project mod and it works better than it did on my xp desktop, no weird sounds and stuff and I can play it when the laptop is in its lowest power state! I dunno about A2 though...the only game I cant get to work right on here is CoD and CoDUO:rolleyes:
yeah Mac OS X, I mean Windows Vista is a handful to get games to work on.... If you could be more specific about the problem then we could help.. how far does it install to? or does it even get to the install part? Try installing it directly from the actual D Drive
I click install, the DemoShield thing appears, then all the windows disappear. Google reveals no one else having this problem. Is a 3D8 hardware accelerator software or hardware? Because if it's software, I can just install it on my laptop.
I have Vista and A2 works fine, you just have to open the disc and install it that way
How do you do this? Do I have to bring up the thing that has different options, or is there some executable I can activate directly? If there is, can you tell me what it is and where I can find it?
Does it fail if you manually initiate the autoplay? (Start>Run>y:\autoplay.exe), where y is your CD drive.
Yes. Is there a direct install exe? Or should I mess with Compatibility Settings?
The cake is a lie. There is no cake.

Click setup.exe and that should get you on your merry way.
