I am interested in modifying existing, and new ships.
I was wondering if someone could point me the way to adding new ships, in the quickest and cleanest way possible! I'd prefer not to have to use too many third party softwares or files. So as to maximise redistribution capability.
I know roughly the files I need for a ship: models\{shipsname} etc and the scripts\ships\{ship}.py, scripts\ships\{ship}.pyc, scripts\ships\hardpoints\{ship}.py, scripts\ships\hardpoints\{ship}.pyc. But I added these in and nothing happened?
Summary of things I need to know: -How to add a new ship into the game. (In the simplest\easiest way possible!). -How to assign it to a menu, usable in both quickbattle and multiplayer.

We've got a ship working, but only in singleplayer. How do you go about adding them to multiplayer?
Its a hell of a lot harder to get them into MP. Plus, the only people that can join your server would have to have exactly the same scripts.
Hm.. that's all very well and good telling us how hard it is. But you didn't answer the question.
