I saw that the Zorg Hutet had the kinda hooks that holds, I think two Galor class vessels. I thought it would be cool to use the MVAM script, take the Hutet and add two vessels that can detach like in the game Dominion Wars, just an idea though.

I think there are docking and carrier scripts either on the way or already available that would better suite this use. The galors and hutet remain seperate ships whereas MVAM sees one ship break up.

The scripts that allow docking at the Cardassian starbase should be of use here.

It's easily doable with the mvam scripts or the shuttle launching (although, of course, I'd have to say mine would be better at it ;) personal pride lol).

Prommy's are *sighs* coming. I found out the guy I had working on them went away for two weeks to the army... that was a week ago. So yeah, at least another week.

And just so you know, my scripts have been ready since about the end of january.

Yes they are seperate ships, but in game they would appear as one carrying two ships. So this means they would probably have to be modeled that way. (not sure though) But using the MVAM they would detach, like with a little cut scene, playing the role of carry on escorts. Maybe the launching framework can do this. But I agree with Sneaker, it would be better with MVAM because you can reintergrate the ships as well.

I suppose it depends whether or not you want to be in one of the escorts. MVAM would allow you to leave the hutet in one - which is useful for captain's yachts, etc, but if you wanted 'fighter' type escorts it is doable under currently released material (which ws the point I was making). I would have to wait for MVAM Infinity (and I have a model or two ready for it...) before comparing that to other launching frameworks.

What I would like is the ability to launch and return the two escorts independant of each other, both acting as weapons platforms rather than as individual pieces of the ship. Ordering one or the other to reintegrate - which would be difficult under MVAM as it would require at least five models working together.

My friend you said it perfectly. I couldn't have said it better myself, that is absolutely marvelous. I mean, two seperate detachments that can dock and undock it would be similar to Sneaker's Prometheus MVAM, except they'd be whole ships. The only problem would be the modeling, the ships the Hutet used were specifically built for that purpose and they were the Norin Class. All well I guess this is something for someone to work on in their spare time.
