Hi guys, I'm sure you're sick of the BSOD (don't hate me I'm new :p) but I have a very, very frustrating issue with it.

I have found my old CD and recently installed bridge commander, updated to 1.1, and installed foundation (I've tried both the ones found with the mod packager/installer and the newest 2008 issue) which works correctly. However, when I try to load a script mod such as Walk FX I get the black screen of death and deleting the files fixes it, I also have the same problem with custom ships installed by the BCUT. So far the only thing I have been able to successfully mod are the crew members.

I have tried starting in compatibility mode, windowed mode, deleting the settings file and practically every other suggestion out there. The frustrating bit is that I've installed plenty of mods in the past and never had this issue before - could it be because I'm now running version 1.1?

Hi there,

Your problem stems from Foundation being updated during 2008. Basically, BCMP has been outdated as an installation tool. Most of the mods made after 2008, are centered around the new Foundation scripts. I suggest starting with a clean install, then install this program....

* Bridge Commander Universal Tool 1.7.6 http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Bridge_Commander_Universal_Tool;115745

With this program, more options for customising ship scripts become available. adding enhancements from DS9FX Xtended and FTech. You can even install old BCMP files with BCUT. Hope that helps. :) -BR32
