:D Hey, I was just wondering if it was possible to create a real starship. With the materials we already have, it might be possible. I just thinking to start out with a Defiant Class look or maybe something bigger. So, what do you guys think?

Um, well, it could be possible. But I don't think NASA could be arsed, 'cos they're trying to build that station.

But if we did build, like you said, a small ship like the Defiant, we would all have to float around inside it 'cos of that gravity force thingy !

and we would't be able to go far away from earth in it 'cuz we don't have any warpcores yet.

See! It's just a matter of time before we'll have warpcores.

With a warp core with is just a matter/antimatter reactor, we could travel at 0.5c or half the speed of light.

I think 2001:A space Odysey gave us the definitive look of any future spacecraft. (Granted until we invent warp drive and gravity plating:lol: )

Long range spacecraft will be pretty damn big and have rotating sections to provide gravity.

Or take a look at the Agamemnon from Babylon 5; one cool mother...

Hey ! I read 2001 : A Space Odyssey Special Edition, with a new foreword by Arthur C.Clarke himself, along with a introduction from Stephen Baxter.

WOW ! Wasn't that the best paragraph you've ever seen !

Sorry, I think I : was/am/were/eh?/hic-hic/ate a pineapple/um...

Am drunk that's what I was looking for.

Anyway, that ship looks really cool Eckie !!! :) ;) :lookaround:

its a good idea but building a star ship seems unrealistic

How can it be unrealistic? It's gonna be a neccesity before long as the population of this little rock keeps on growing.
