Because it should be common knowledge....

indeed - thats pretty much an "unwritten rule" that goes with every forum (at least as far as BC is concerned)...
Actually, it is a written rule here.
FAQNo CD cracks, hacks, "warez", or P2P (Peer2Peer) software Do not ask for 'No CD' cracks, CD keys or help with mod chips. Do not discuss or post links to sites that have roms, sites with illegal video or audio downloads, or anything that could potentially violate copyright laws. If you think it is a questionable link, do not post it. P2P Sites and links are not allowed to be posted. Face it, we all know that they are used 99% for downloading illegal content. Bittorrent is an exception, and only in certain cases. In such cases, a staff member will approve the thread or post by posting in it to show legitimacy.
As you can see, it's part of the forum FAQ which every forum member should read before posting. We can't force anyone to read it, but not reading it is no excuse for not knowing the rules. So, having a Sticky thread just for this would be pointless. Ofcourse, every forum member is free to send a private message to a designated Moderator and bring his/her concerns to his/her attention.

As I recall, it is also in the forum rules we all must read to register on FilesNetwork.
I know Noobs, and they tend not to notice something unless it's in their face. I'm so used to seeing these kinds of stickies at every forum, I was wondering why there wasn't one here.
That's a good point. :nodding: New members tend to skip the forum FAQ/Rules section and proceed straight to posting. Like I said; feel free to send a private message to this forum Moderator (Danny) and ask him if he would be willing to make a Sticky.
I'm so used to "black and white" rules, I still think in those terms. I've also been banging away at computer consoles since I was introduced to an Apple II in 1987.
that translates to "I'm an OLD hand with computers", so I know some things by now. that's why I mentioned Noobs. I also remember some of my "netiquette" mistakes, though I still make them.

well as much as i know since i happen to have a cracked version called 1.1 clean k its best for some ppl that have non versions to ask for help from some who have had experience with non disk versions k since i myself have been tinckerin and fiddling around a lot l8tly with my non disk version of BC a lot so also since non disk can sometimes mean that it can also be cracked or pirated ect but then again i could be wrong on some parts here.
