In order to make a ship capable of launching shuttles you will need the following:

1/MPE (Model Property Editor- That Comes with the SDK) 2/Launching Framework (I recommend gettin the script pack from BCfiles)

The first thing you need to do is open up the ship you want to have shuttles with MPE. For example we shall use the Norway class, since I had a go at this the other day. I won't go into detail about how to use MPE, im hoping you already know how to add in new properties.

IF THE SHIP ALREADY HAS A Shuttle Bay OEP AND Shuttle Bay THEN YOU CAN SKIP PART A...

Part A- Create the Shuttle Bay ------------------------------- 1/Add in a new "Object Emitter", call it Shuttle Bay OEP , then chose where you want it etc. and make the object emitter a shuttle from the drop down menu.

2/Add in a new "Hull" property and name it Shuttle Bay, this is not exactly a hull, its just used to illustrate where the shuttle bay is, your best off making it in the same location as the above property. Modify the properties so that it isnt critical or primary, and that it is targetable.

The ship is now set up to become a carrier, some ships already have these properties set up, so you can ignore them... The next step is to make the ship capable of having the shuttles etc. Ive including a JPG that helps you do this, follow these instructions and use the JPG for reference, it is very simple to do, but it looks so complicated...

Part 2 - Add in the shuttles ---------------------------- 1/ Download the attached script and rename it to the ship you are using. (Make sure it is the name of the ship script, not the hardpoint)

2/Now look at the JPG, rename the words with the RED line under them to the ship script (NOT THE HARDPOINT). Look in this folder to see the SHIP SCRIPT NAME

3/ Rename the parts with the BLUE line under them to the shuttle name, the stock shuttle is called Shuttle, but I have also included in the script a type9 shuttle (providing you have it, if you dont then delete that line, or change "type9" to the word "Shuttle", this will just mean that there are more Shuttles...

4/ The parts with the YELLOW line under them correspond to the amount of THAT TYPE of shuttle you have specified, eg. 4 = Four Shuttles available, and 2 = Two Type9 shuttles available.

Thats basically it, if you want another type of ship to be included, then just copy the line with the PURPLE arrow next to it and rename the words I mentioned to the ones you want. Hopefully you can figure it out, everything SHOULD work. If you need more help just post.

NOTHING SHOULD GO WRONG, IF IT DOES I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY, NOR DOES THE MAKER OF LAUNCHING FRAMEWORK...But everything should work

Looks on www.bcfiles.com and do a search for the SDK. It contains a program called MPE (Model Property Editor) that allows you to edit the hardpoints of all ships/stations in BC. There are various guides on bcfiles that tell you how to use it.

ok... i did EVRYTHING down to the letter... pasted ma wtr intrepid thing into the carriers folder... made sure that the name was right and all the specs in that file were right... even downloaded that script pack you mentioned... still nothing... now i have all those other stupid scripts that are sooo stupid lol... most of em anyways!

any ideas??? :uhm: :uhm: :uhm:

Ok, just a side note, this is for the as yet unrelease new version of the Shuttle Launching framework. I don't think it will work with the old one on BCFiles, so don't use it.

Check here for the download. I beleive its due to go on BCFiles at some point.
