Hi, Im The Xtreme. I am the Founder & Manager of Xtreme Team Studios. We have been Modding Microsoft Freelancer for 4 years, and recently expanded to X2/X3. I personaly am a HardCore treky! so here i am. I need some info cos i intend to try to make a few mods for STBC.
What is the Max Polli Llimmit for the models. In freelancer its 11.000, in X2 its 250.000, and X3 is even higher. And i been looking at the game files or rather trying to, all the game info seems to be in .pyc how to i edit/decomperss/modd these files. [i just want to see them and figure out how to add the entrys.

you can't edit pyc files. You can only edit py files. When you start B.C. the program writes a pyc file based on the py.
Well, BC can handle at least 20,000 polys, but the recomended maximum is just over 10,000.
Also, check other ships mods for how to add them to the game.
