go thru BCU - use the search function there... i'm rather certain this has been gone over a few times before in the past...

Call me a complete n00b but i cant find anything that would help at BCU. i try typing diferent things in search but i either get nothing or like a 100 pages with posts that merely mention porting. ill try again but id apreciate it if someone would help me out.

i found some info on a thread about modeling programs. and since i can't afford to BUY a program such as Milkshape or Gmax my idea has kicked the bucket :( (unless there is a way to get it done without a modeling program).

Milkshape works free for one month. It can import and export .NIF's. After a month, its only 25 dollers to register and purchase the program. Extremely cheap for a Modelling program. Gmax is free, if you can find it. But there isn't a NIF importer or exporter for it that i'm aware of. Pretty sure one doesn't exist. Though Lots of modellers have 3ds max, you can probably find someone willing to NIF them for you, from there you can do the rest with the MPE. Try asking at BCC, since BCU is pretty much inactive.

Ok i have Milkshape now but it dosnt seem to suport models in .nif format. i tried a few things to test it out but i cant seem to be able to import a BC model into Milkshape. i know that there are people who use Milkshape to model for BC so i ask you. What do i need to do to get a .nif model to show up?

Blah, sorry my bad. You have to download the Importer/exporter.

Its here: http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Milkshape_Nif_ImporterExporter_plugins;18852

You unzip and drop them in the main Milkshape folder btw.
