DJcubeHave you ever tried reading the stuff you post?
I suggest trying Gmax before wasting money if it turns out you can't model. (Hint: Use google)
Here's one 4U, thus Gmax us the same format as 3dsmax?
Love 2 know, cause i wanna make a bridge of my own, but i don't wanna pay 4 it.
A bridge....you know that you NEED 3ds Max 3.1 (which you can't get now) for bridges, and a LOT of time to make the model, textures, lighting, animation. Bridges are the hardest thing to make.
Anyway, you need milkshape or max (or know someone who has them) to convert the ships into the format BC uses.
Gmax doesnt use the same formats, but converting them to the right formats with other programs is easily done.
Hey Cube, I'd guess i will try to keep from the bridges-side 'till I get better at modelling, and made myself a few ships. I was thinking about expanding the group of Babylon5-ships, here at filefront. I'm a BIG fan off those series, and I find it rather bad, that no-one is making new ships.
You know, that omega-class destroyer (rotating section that doesn't rotate) I'm considering making that big 5-mile long spacestation. What was it's name, anyways? A Yes, 'Babylon 5'. It's too bad that that thing won't rotate, either. But, that comes with BC. :)
O and BTW, Is there any usefull 3d model prog. I can use freely for this?
Can I use anything else than 3dmax to create the ship?
The USSCan I use anything else than 3dmax to create the ship?
I was just askin' myself the same darn thing
I know, but you can't import things from Gmax into Milkshape. Unless there's another way to make NIF's
