Alright, Im new to this modding thing so go easy on me here if I sound incredibly stupid. Ive been trying to install this torpedo I downloaded to a ship to test it on.

I Chose the stock sovi to test on and I've never done this before so I had no clue how to do it. It says in the readme that there should be a line in the hardpoints for the torpedoes and it also said to put this line of code below it to install the torps.

Torpedoes.SetMaxTorpedoes(1, 20) Torpedoes.SetTorpedoScript(1, "Tactical.Projectiles.Isokinetic Torp")

Now when I open the sovi's hardpoints I get a whole ton of this ....

Am I opening it wrong or is it something I dont see? Help would be apreciated.

well, there are .py and .pyc, you need to open the .py i beleive... anyways, one of those are comprehensible and no a bund of box characters

open up the py file to add the torp. Download the SDK for the stock hardpoint py files.

I searched for all .py files just now and found no such .py file for the stock sovi I only found two .pyc files both of wich were pretty unreadable.

like i said, download the BC SDK. has the stock py file for the stock sovvie. (personaly id just upgrade to the cg sovie if i was you)

hehe...download the SDK, and you wont even have to add the line of code...just use the modelpropertyeditor to add it
