Hey All, I'm somewhat new to the BC community, though have played the game before when I borrowed it from a friend. Though that was some time ago and I have recently acquired a copy for myself. Anyhow, I'd like to get a small personal MOD going (more of a Dominion Wars scheme). Just I don't know where to start. Other than http://www.gamingforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=108 - of which I'll look through at a later date. But, anyway, I'll be needing ships (and bridges) for a number of these ships, and wish also to get rid of the Kessok (I just want a Dominion War scheme), with a few additions. Thus, the following ships (with bridges if they have them): Federation: Constitution Miranda Oberth Excelsior Excelsior Refit (Enterprise-B / Lakota) Ambassador Nebula (preferably all three variants, though with the same texture) Galaxy Intrepid Sabre Steamrunner Norway Akira Defiant Sovereign Prometheus Klingon: B'Rel K'Vort K't'inga Vor'cha Voodieh / Negh'Var Romulan: D'Deridex Norexan (Nemesis Warbird) Borg: Interceptor Sphere Cube Tactical Cube Assimilator Diamond Cardassian: Hideki Galor Keldon Hutet I think, for the Cardassians' I'll be using Zorgs' stuff. Dominion: Bug Destroyer Warship Battlecruiser ./ Dreadnought Other: Ferengi D'Kora (Marauder) Son'a Battleship Species 8472 Bio-Ship Breen Battleship I'm also trying to keep these models below 5'000 polies - I've played Kobayashimaru, and some of them models are 10'000 and lag like hell, thus I can't be doing with them. In addition, and tips and such that people can give, I'm all ears :)
Whats your comp specs??? KM was mainly ment for low end comps. (only model I've seen with a massive poly count was the excal)
Oh and btw poly count doesn't play a role in lag as we thought, it is really the high res textures.

Computer Specifications: AMD Athlon 2088+ 2.7 GHz 512 RAM NVidia GeForce FX 5200 160GB HDD Think thats the basics covered. It runs other games, Armada I & II, BFME, DoW, BC (obviously), C&C (all of em)... Oh, and I'll have to keep watch on that link, cheers :)
lol thats good enough to run more than 10,000 poly models.... though that GFX card sucks.
