Hi,

I was wondering how to make ships, star bases, and the like to work in multi-player. Yes I know that if just one file is different between the host and the player it wont work. But me and friend would like try it. Besides if we install everything in the exact same order it should work.

Whatever the case I know it's possible because KM did it. So how is it done?

well, uh, why dont you just get KM? or, are you using dialup :uhoh:

actually, its impossilbe to get script mods to work in mp without KM, (unless your a pro modder of course) and im not sure about ships either, thats why you dont see servers with 1.1 with borg sphere, or km1.0 with dauntless, you only see 1.1, KM9.1, KM9.0, and KM1.1

We play KM we'd just like to have a better selection of ships besides KM isn't balanced correctly.

There is a stickied thread somewhere about getting ships and stuff into multiplayer I think!

That reminds me lately when I go to do a search I can't find the search tool I used to go under "Forum Tools" and it would be there but now I can't even find the search tool. I'll probably kick myself when someone tells me where it is.

It got removed cos it occasionally crashed the server (here). To be fair, the FF forum is HUGE!!

You might just want to rebalance the KM ships for your own use.

Getting mods to work in MP is a big pain. Trust me: you really don't want to do it.
