Hello all I need some help I have a new ship to use in the campain I allready got it working but It doesn't have a tractor beam . How can I edit the ship and give it one? Its a stargate ship the x303 any help would be great thanks.:)

You'll need Model Property Editor from Bridge Commander SDK, or notepad (but with the latter you won't be able to allign the location on the ship.

1. Copy Hardpoint file (Scripts/Ships/Hardpoints) into model folder (Data/Models/Ships/) just to avoid search for hardpoint 2. on the right column click on the expandable list until you see 'Scene Root', click on it, now you should see on the left column all the properties of the ship. 3. click on 'Property' tab -> 'Show Template List' new window will appear. 4. click right 'New' button and choose 'Weapon System' from the list of Properties, name it 'Tractor'. 5. click again on the right 'New' button and select 'Tractor Beam' property, name it either Forward or Aft Tractor (depends on direction you want it to face) close Template list window. 6. on the left column (main window) click add property and scroll down the list, there you'll see two properties you've just created (on the bottom), add both of them. 7. click on Tractor (now should be on the bottom of the left list in main window) (weapon property) and click 'edit Property', now on the tiny list scroll down and choose 'Tractor' mode. 8. click on Tractor Beam property to edit it's color, width etc. (use any fed Tractor settings for example) 9. Now click on View tab and pick 'Locate Tool' pan to the part of the ship you want tractor beam to come from and click on it, now edit 'Tractor Beam' again and in 'Subsystem Properties' tab click 'Get Position', if you did it right angle indicator will appear in the spot you've pointed. That's about it for now ;)

I'm a little confused I added the tractor beam but it doesn't show up in the game:( Do you have to convert the .py to pyc . I tried to save it in .pyc but mpe doesn't allow it. Any help would be great thanks.:cya:

no, the only difference between PY and PYC is that PY is editable with any text editor because it's not encoded, PYC is encoded = no editing through notepad. right. so. you have to open any ship hardpoint that has tractor beam (i.ex. Galaxy class) open Tractor beam property, and don't close it, now open another MPE and open your ship's hardpoint, edit Tractor Beam property. Now with both opened just look at Galaxy's tractor and simply copy color, size and TEXTURE values to yours.

tractor isn't showing up because you didn't put texture path in Tracor property because I forgot to tell you about it :P sorry ;)

try it now ;)
