I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem. whenever a ship uses pulse weapons it greatly reduces the frame rate of the game actually it causes it to almost freeze up completely, this has caused me to change the hardpoints on all of the ships that I have (I.E. remove pulse weapons and replace with phase) my system is as follows pent 2.0 gig proc with 256 mg video 1.0 gig ram

thats normal as pulse weapons slow down the fps alot becasue the computer has much more work to do.

youve got good ram but your processors a bit slow.thats all.

I have a 2.0 gig proc and it lags once and a while but not a lot.Hell I've been able to run about 30 ships in a big fight at once so far.

good,your ram probably helps alot with that.

its just that with pulse weapons,they each are different so think of them as very small moving ships and by firing pulse weapons,your adding ships in a way.
