Greetings from the Kid. I've downloaded a number of ships lately that I really want to use, and since I'm a noob I want to use them, preferably, in QuickBattle. This way I can get an idea of what I'm doing and not get owned inside of thirty seconds (and does THAT happen embarrassingly often). I've noticed that ships need to have a .PY file in scripts\custom\ships in order for me to get them into QB. Is there some utility available that'll do this for me? Or do I have to learn how to code a .PY file for QB? (I don't have a problem doing so-- I just want to know if there's an easier way.) Another thing-- I've also run into a problem with the campaign. It won't let me play past the fourth episode. And I don't understand why. Something I modded, perhaps? Or is this normal? One last thing-- is anyone else getting "invalid session set" errors trying to download stuff from BCFiles? Much obliged for any answers you can provide, my friends!

As i said before Kid, be very careful with the BCMP program. There is also the BCMI tool which is for packaged BCMI mods. You will need the latest .NET Framework, available via Windows Update or via MS Website Downloads. :)

Yeah, did you ever. Somehow I lost ALL my command-related mods (MVAM, shuttles, advanced power control)! How do I get those back? Do I have to reinstall all of them?

Do a quick search here for BCMP file checker to find the way to get your mods back. Its a common problem, I believe BCMP just renames the plugins and all you have to do is return them to their original name. But never use the filechecker under any circumstances!

^ I'm positive that made sense when you typed it. Search for the BCMP file checker, rename the plugins BUT don't use the file checker? I'm confused.

DO NOT USE THE BCMP FILE CHECKER, search the forums for it so you can fix it. the file checker disables alot of mods and ships in particular because it is buggy, it does not like alot of the newer ships, although, if this happens it is fairly easy to fix.
