Probably asked by thousands of noobies before me, simply: Once I make a model, how do I make a template to apply skins too? I mean like, how do I make the registry go where it is supposted to, instead of, like, on the nacelle?
Trial and error. You should have a basic idea of the surface you're going to wrap the texture around, as you've selected it. Try to image a 2D version of that surface and star to create it. Maybe have a simple texture of lines to give you a guide as to what goes where, then you'll get more into the habit. Do the big things like registry first, then move onto the detail, that way, you'll get things where you want them to be and then you'll get them as you want them to be.
