I dont know if this has been attempted but i want to make a nemisis shield texture. however i want it to have a shockwave that expands to a certain point then dissapears and a more conventional shield texture remaining and also there at the beginning. also the dissipation animated in a certain way not just there and fades out
First, we need the skin tight Nemesis shielding shape. They are still being worked on I think.
Im still waiting on Admril Ames for information about a code he gave me for confomal sheilds. I suggest you use nano fx explosions. After the explosion occurs, or during the explosion, have a shockwave in there. I belive they are just cinimatic clips, but i could be wrong. TGA files are not my specialty.

Here's an idea that probably wont work, but here goes anyways: just change Sphere.tga so that it looks like the shockwave you want. ie, change it to look like a bull's eye
problem is that changes all shield textures. Also, I think it affects things other than shields.
yeh, the smoke balls, the planets, ect. I still think Nanofx would be your best bet. it would look like the energy is expanding, and it would be all random.

maybe you could create a model like the armoured voyager by mrjonh, ive played around wit it and i found tat the sheild system is closer to the ship than any other shield system ive seen?? ya could always try it tat way. ya i have already changed sphere.tga it to a preliminary version and it isnt the design i made. any ideas. NFX 1 (mutator off), 2 beta are installed, and i this forum is for this shield mod not conformal shields, but they know somewhat of my idea
