Is it possible to create a mod in wich the passage of time could be slowed down, like in starfleet command games, in orther to create more of a strategic gameplay in bc? I think that it's a very, very interesting idea - specially in sp, of course.

If it is, is any of the modders be interested in creating such a mod?

a quick way to do this would be to install bc with all the mods etc onto an old 486 and try running it in High Res :lol:

he ment slow time not slide show mode:lol: but a bullet time mod would be cool. And seeing what people did with BC it should be at least thoreticly possible. mounting a "Phaser Time" system to ships such as the premonition wells class or aeon would realy give them a feel of being time traveling ships.

Lol, I've had a p-133 for a *very* long time so I've seen enough slide-shows, thank you very much! Today I have a P3 1000 with 128 megs of ram so I have to play BC with gfx set to minimum in order to get a decent framerate...

I'm a big fan of SFC series all the way back from '99 and I've always thought that being able to slow time down while playing such a complex multi ship engagement sim was the one of the best ideas the design team has implemented.

I like strategy games and I like having time enough to think about my next move - I think giving BC players the opportunity to experience a working bullet time system in battle would add a completely new very interesting and strategic layer to this already beautiful game.

I for one - and probably many old SFC hands out there - would be very happy if any of the modders considered implementing this idea into their work... :)

the "mod" doesnt exist, as far as i know... and the people that are currently capable of making such a mod, i can say for certain, are very busy with other projects; so it is unlikely someone will make such a thing (if it is even possible)...
