I see a lot of requests from members interested in making their first mods for BC. What I haven't seen is a lot of response to these requests from the veteran modders out there. I'm sure some have migrated away from the BC community as I did. Others probably just have busy schedules. It's been a while since I've done any modding for bridge commander. About 5 years to be exact, but I will of course try to help any way I can with these requests. You will of course need a few programs to create ships and stations from the ground up. 3ds max and photoshop are probably the most common pair used by the veteran modders, but they don't come cheap. There are however less expensive alternatives like silo, milkshape, gimp and paint-dot-net. As for hardpoints and basic scripting, the mpe, tde, as well as the universal tool Sovvie was nice enough to create cover a lot of the work in this area. There are more tools in the utilities section of BC Files and many tutorials here on the forums. I've just rescently returned to the community, so I havn't made any new tutorials under this name. What I do have here was released under my previous name "MScott". Once again, post your requests here and I will do what I can to try and help. Maybe other veteran modders will post here as well, hint, hint. Happy modding, -BCAriakas:cool:

hello MScott! i remember you :)

no one ever really replies here on these forums because everyone that is actively involved with BC (modders and fans) are all posting regularly at Bridge Commander Central forums... thats where the community is - practically no one comes to these forums in all honesty... it's always been that way... there is a whole forum there devoted to tutorials for modding as well - in fact, there are a few from you over there as well MScott lol

if anyone has any questions about BC, the place to go is BCC forums...
