for the titan...look here...:D
They wouldn't take over the ship they'd just coerce the captain or manipulate the command crew into doing something that would be totally opposite of Federation policies

or go here: http://www.ussmiranda.com/frames.htm & click on "ship database", then on "starship size chart".
Half of those ships aren't even canon, including the Titan.
or if you click on the Titan class label on the right frame of the screen, there's all the official infos and the credits at the bottom: Titan-class Starship Copyright Paramount Entertainment, 2002.

Look at the top of the column for the Titan, it says Conjectural/Semi-Canon HERE.
The credits that look as such:
Credits: Titan-Class Starship © Paramount Entertainment, 2002 Conjectural Design by Patrick Weber. Mesh Kitbashed/retextured by Pat Weber, Mesh Parts by Steve Davis, Dennis Bailey, Tachy, and Ed Giddings. Image Backgrounds by NASA, space.com and Andrew Hodges.
The only thing canon about that design is the name, the rest is an assumption, a non-canon design. That site doesn't contain 100% canon ships, most of them there were spoken of in books or seen in the videogames, therefore they are not considered canon material, a few of those there are based off moded ships for A2.
Wait that link doesn't prove it as each thing I seem to click on share the same URL. So click on Starship Database and click "Battleships". You'll see that the Titan falls under the Conjectural/Semi-Canon column.
