just wondering, if there is a mod outthere for it:confused: . it would be cool I think, and a good start for modding, and it would make the single player game alot more fun , I mean what was activision thinking, a galaxy class has alot more firing arcs lol. signed B-MAN!
I take what n0e says way too seriously

There are a bunch of Federation ship mods out there (and I mean a BUNCH), and some of them will replace your existing ships, meaning that the stock ships will be upgraded.
I see, well what should I look for? meaning things like should the mods include textures, or new weapons arcs. etc.

I'm not sure many people have done hardpoint upgrades for many of the stock ships and released them, as they tend to work with the newer models, which are considered better and can be used as replacements for the stock ones. However, this is pretty easy to do, and I'm sure its where many people start off when modding, so there must be many unreleased ones out there.
If you want to try and have a go yourself, download the SDK/MPE from bcfiles. The model property editor will adjust the hardpoints and can be used to change the hardpoints of the ships.
But there are some, this one for the galaxy and nebula classes for example (includes new textures though)
This is an updated sovereign class:
the first comment posted on the file shows why few people release these things.
All hardpoint upgrades for both stock and nonstock ships can be found here:
There are a lot and you'll have to go through each category with a particular ship in mind to find as many as you can. Not all will have been done, not all will be satisfactory, but that is the joy of modding.
