Would it be possible to create a script that would cause a star to go Nova? at least something simple like making it explode in a normal but very big nanofx explosion and then cause other objects such as planets, ships, stations and other stars to go with it (within the star system ofcourse.) perhaps a special torpeedo that would activate the script upon impact like the une used on the Star Wars Sun Crusher http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sun_Crusher i heard that there was also a similar weapon in star trek. if someone would make such a script and a ship or 2 that would be able to use it that would be awesome.

It probably wouldnt be much different from the planet explosion thing in KM 1.0

It would have to be modified a lot, but it is possible.

Yes, if it could work with a planet, im pretty sure it would be able to work with a sun, perhaps with a little editing to the script.

How about the torpedo? would it be posible to make a torpedo that would have a very long range (some 3000 to 5000 km) that would cause minimal damadge to normal objects but triger the Super Nova script once it hits a star?

ROFL. I can picture that now, if it activated the script when it hit a ship. "Sir! We are going to go supernova in twenty seconds!"

mabey make a pair of scripts that would only work tugether. modify the suns hp (do they have something like hp? if not they should be given 1) so that it identyfies the sun as a sun. i only know some general things about scripts at all but something like this might work: if sun true triger nova false end or something like that.

Yeah if its possible it should be implemented to the solarformers (and made them playable). tho im not sure if a beam could be set to triger scripts. torps can (breen drainers and borg shield drainers)
