Well everybody, I have great plans about a bc mod. BC is originally a combat simulator isn't it? Well I think this mod will create BC to RGP game Details: -this mod allows you to walk on your ship.( I think first have to create Galaxy, Sovereign, Defiant, Intrepid and DS9 plans) -create cabins, hand weapons, tricorders,communicator comlinks -intruder alert: if your shields are weak the enemy will transport into your ship and you have to stop them with your hand weapons; sickbay to cure the wounded shipmates -go into the ship's shuttle bay and leave the ship with shuttle -create holodeck: you can start other game installed in your computer and you can play with them -new transporter function: you can transport to other ships or stations -etc. I'm calling all you good moders, if you are interested in this, then it would be possible to create this mode I know it sound hard but with hard work it is possible. I'm interested in others opinion, so pls write:)

Bobec can I ask you something have you ever done modding for BC??

If you have you should no that the bc game engine (Python) cannot withold a RPG so its very douptful your plan would work.

Any way those ideas have already been thought of and tried butwe cant make them.

Hallo I have also thought a mod like that, but I think you can't use the old grphic engine which Activision used on the bridge. I don't know if it can be, but maybe you should use for the inner rooms on the ships the graphic engine from elite force 2 or 1. And it is good that someone else things about that great idea. :agreed:

I dont want to edit bc to rpg. I thought i would be like an rpg game. get it?

Um are you talking about writing a new rpg game based on bc? I don't think thats really feasible, modding Elite Force would probably give a better result.

Not really, for battle i always use the tactical mode, but the things like "Hand weapons" "Tricorders" "shuttle bays" "holodecks" and making it possible to walk around to other places of a ship...is...well...probably impossible with the BC game engine, could be wrong though as i don't know much about those sort of things.

The idea of the mod sounds great. However, at this time, it is very difficult to do (I won't say it's impossible, cause people have said that animation is impossible to do in BC, but ATP Dimensions and ATP 3 are trumping that theory - I know it's just ships attached to other ships, but it is basically animation). I would say is wait for ATP Dimensions and ATP 3 to come out first. Just as an FYI, the engine for BC is very weak in the performance department, so I think it will be very difficult to use this RPG idea. More than likely, the game will crash cause it can't handle that amount of data. I would really like to see someone re-write a new game engine that will allow awesome mod ideas, such as this, to work. However, I don't know how involved that is cause I don't know how to program.
