I would like to see the Transformers and PotC At Worlds End soundtracks added to BC. That would be really cool.

When someone asks a question that generally means that they can't do it themselves...get a clue!

Right... well search BCF first in any case. There is already a Pirates soundtrack for BC... as for Transformers; nothing that I know of. Buy the CD soundtrack, rip and rename the tracks. If you don't know how PM me and I'll walk you through it. Better?

I always wondered, isn't that 'technically' illegal? not that I've wanted to see that music in BC,just thought it was illegal to rip music, upload it and call it a game mod :/

Yep, I think we've had some files taken down in the past as they included too much of a copyrighted soundtrack. There seems to be some tolerance used and it might be worth an email to one of the site admins to determine current policy.

The Pirates soundtrack is still up. I assume it's alright as long as proper permission. Besides, goin fast never said anything about uploading the mod to the community, just using it in his own install.

Altering .mp3 for your install is not that hard. It's just a simple rename of the stock file your replacing.

It's really not that hard to do. If you have the soundtracks in .mp3 format. If you just making this for your private install, knock yourself out. And for copyright infringement. That depends on the individual Recording labels. Some are more lax with usage than others. While others have a strict policy. On internet downloading and usage. Most people encrypt .mp3 files for example not to play beyond a certain point. Others have music distortions.

As long as you credit your source. And your not profiting by it.

Due to my current situation I would have to get both soundtracks free(via email or free trila download ie Itunes cause I know for a fact someone is doing a free trail deal right now) or someone else will have to do it. Those are my only two options.

Why not just upload individual MP3's to a Yahoo group of your own, specifically for "Pirates" & "Transformers" soundtracks? Or, upload them to either Angelfire or Geocities file manager folders & go from there? I'm personally looking for "Underwater March" from the latest of the "Pirates of The Carribean" soundtracks for one of my fan fiction websites ("Star Trek: Vonnegut" & the other fan fiction project I have on the go - "Star Trek: New Worlds").
