hi, i have sneaker98 warp core ejection mod, and as much as i like this mod, i would like it much better if the core glowed properly ( or does it already? an my copy of bc is just ****?) can anyone tell me how to go about adding glows to the core model? i have all the software needed i think, milkshape 1.7, photoshop 7, have searched for a few tut's on adding glows an stuff, but there wasnt realy a definitve in depth step by step description that i could find. any help would be great.:bows: Profanity is not permitted on these forums - elminster

apologies, not offence was intened to any1. i will be more careful in future, but i've modded my copy of bc to the extreme, and i'm not sure whats working an what isnt. i've looked into it a bit more, and if im right, creating glows has to do with the alpha channel in the tga file? which is part of the nif file for the ship isnt it? (some one tell me if im not on the right track.) now i used milkshape 3d with the bc import/export addon to load the core nif, and the export the individual tga files that make it up. now the file name ***_glow.tga is the one i need to edit i believe, but how do i go about this? i open it up, and i cant make sence of how to edit it to glow like a warp engine. any1 who has experience editing tga's etc, plz just post a little info on how to go about it, just to get me started. i will figure the rest out as i go along. or post bak here again ;) thnx all.

no, got a little ahead of myself there, the core has 10 individual plasma_glow.nif's. which make up the core glow???? now which one, if not all of these do i need to edit? AM I EVEN ON THE RIGHT TRACK??? this is all a little confusing, as i am completly new to all this.
