I don't have any access to Internet at the place I live, and I'm tottaly new to the game. I've finished the campaign. so I was wondering are there any user-made SP campaigns around? Are their hardware requirements the same as for the original game? Thank you...

Well done for posting this via carrier pigeon (joke!).
Quick Battle Replacement had a system for devising and sharing quick missions, but no really big campaigns. There are some great map packs around, though, that go for hours of exploring and some have enemy ships etc within them. An accumulation of several mods that have built up over the years will leave you in a position of lots of maps and the ability to warp between them.
Build your own maps with timed responses etc and a script and I suppose there's now a new way to create campaigns. There's a tutorial on building maps somewhere on here, or in the bcfiles tutorials sections. May help someone if they're hoping to take this up.
