Wouldnt it be kewl if there was a mod for FreeLancer on StarTrek Voyager (etc) there would be all the ships from StarTrek it could be the same story line as Voyager going into the Delta Quadrent and trying to get back home that be so kewl because you could also visit the the planets and start talking to the other aliens there hehe

you talking about a star trek game with the freelancer engine?
damn that would be smokin' :smokin:
I am totally addicted to Freelancer, and I think it would be better off left as it is. There already is that Rhineland ship that looks like the Klingon Bird Of Prey. Isn't that enough for you man!? Nah Freelancer is Freelancer. There already are star trek games, and they should be kept apart, in my opinion.
Is any body makeing Mods for freelancer at all?
Yeah, there's a Babylon 5 ship pack. For some reason there's a Millenium Falcon in that pack. lol
There's some mods to change the weapons too.

I think it would be pretty hard to mod Freelancer ships to Star Trek ships... you'd only be able to fly around in shuttlecraft. And those battleships, would you replace them with Starships? If I did it, I'd have Libery as the Federation (Americans make it, 'USS' prefix on the ships, seems logical), The Rheinland as Klingons, the Kusari as Romulans, and the Bretonians as BORG (hehehe, save the best for myself). The Corsairs could be Cardassians (They're pretty tough!!! Ever been to Planet Crete when you're an enemy?) and the Outcasts could be, I don't know, Breen? Orions? Anyway, I think it would be quite hard to change the battleships into starships... wouldn't the sheer width of a saucer section screw up the positioning of them all? You'd have it jutting into the nearby planet. Though I guess it'd be cool to dock in the shuttlebay. It would be a VERY complicated task though, especially as Digital Anvil haven't released an SDK of any sort.
i have seen a klingon D-7
The bad part is that the weapon turrets are inside the ship so that it will look like a disruptor. That makes the weapon shoot from differnt locations unless you shoot strait ahead.

Ya, thats the problem, the technology of both the Freelancer gaming universes and the Star Trek TV universe are so different it would be a massive undertaking to completely re-do the whole game to have Trek content. Was the D7 you saw a fighter you could buy, or a remodelled battleship? Because that would be one small D7...
