I am new to the modding field so I might be doing something wrong, but here it goes.

I am trying to use a new bridge that I downloaded for BC. I have installed all the files including BCMI.net (which doesnt work on my system) and BCMP.

I have installed all of the other stuff that I could find but still no new bridge on the game. What could I be doing wrong and what are the complete steps to installing a bridge. I have searched the forums but I couldnt find anything that answered my questions directly.

The first you need to do is to ensure that you have foundation installed. You can get this from Windows update. If you search through the optional updates it should be in there somewhere. (I think this is also why your BCMI won't work). I would also recommend getting BC 1.1, which is the patch, which can be found on BCFiles before getting other mods, but its not critical. One other piece of advice which I would have liked when I started modding. Dont bther getting the mods one by one. I strongly advise simply getting Kobayashi Maru 0.90, and its patch. Simply because its got EVERYTHING. (Provided you have sufficient disc space on your system). That is of course up to you though. I hope that helps, and Im sure someone will jump in to correct me if I've got something wrong!

sounds like the problem is that you dont have .net installed, so BCMI.net wont work, the guy above is correct that you can get it from microsofts download centre.

once that is installed BCMI should work and install foundation for you.

However i would also urge you to go down the KM route for now until you are more experienced... i wouldnt say it has everything but it is certainly a good start

...and when doing all this, always start with a clean installation (patched to 1.1 if necessary). Then either:

Download KM and put that into your instal, giving you loads of mods at once

or:

update your .net framework through winupdate as mentioned above, use BCMI (or even download BCMP) to install the foundation for you, THEN start sticking mods in one at a time, carefully reading readmes and requirements listed at the top of the download page beforehand.

Then Enjoy!
