only ablative armour worked for me for some reason when i tried adding the technologies. everything didnt work. Inversion beam, drainer weapon, etc... nothing except ablative armour on the defiant. I followed everything in the readme on the author's site and i kno how to use the MPE... so i dont know what went wrong. ATP mutator IS turned OFF, but i heard that if nanoFX is turned on, ATP can work? well its been proven with ablative armour... what could be causing this?
try downloading the ATP ships from the ATP website...
those have the ATP scripts included on them, so ATP should work for them
thanks i got most of the technologies working, but how do u add the breen drain weapon to a ship? that part i havent figured out...

As far as I know the drainer requires the modification of the torpedoes projectile script, there are some quite detailed examples in ATP3. However I'd recommend against implementing this as it does seem to make the game crash more often.

Well, some parts of the ATP3 have changed and, so the Modding instructions on Apollos page are not valid anymore. For example in ATP when you want to give the Breen the Drainer Weapon, open Tactical/Projectiles/BreenTorpedoXL.py and add
YieldType = 1
DrainerWeapon = 1
to the bottom of the file.
yeah, but you can only get ATP3 from MPMP, and they only thing that it does right now (since it's not finished) is have the torpedo spreads...
so im guessing that his instructions should work fine, unless you have MPMP and ATP3
No it doesn't just have the spreads right, it has all the features in ATP1 and 2 as well.
Also there are torp types other than spreads, and drainers, you can change torp colors and strengths based on distance for example, your can also get torpedoes to bounce. As I mentioned above, look through the examples supplied and you can find a load of options.
