am a rookie with computers, and have just found the wonderful work of modders for a number of games. I just got BC from ebay and I get the black screen and yellow icin. I read the post on how to fix it and my head blew up!!!!! Modders have made GREAT new worlds for games. I was wondering is it possable for someone to make a patch so that us dumb nubbie people (like ME!) with directx 9.0c--win xp service pack 2--- and not a clue how to figure out what is on the popsts. PLEASE HELP!! I AM DYING TO PLAY BC!!!!!!!!!! :bawl: Thank You.

I suggest you read around, the best thing to do if your going to install mods is to get up to speed with how they and the game works.

Go to the Bridge Commander Folder and Delete it then reinstall the game. That is what I would do. Then go to where you get your mods bcfiles or wherever and get the patch 1.1v and download and install that. Then make sure if you use a firewall that you allow BC full access to the internet.

Cold Elminster, cold... Tige995 HELLO and Welcome. While i'm not one of these Wizard guys, I just give 'H' from time to time, i can tell you this: Most of this stuff is common sense and not as difficult as it may at first appear. A lot of it is simply putting the right stuff in the right folder, and becoming very fimiliar with those folders, whats in them, and what they do to the game - just in case there is a problem or something the modder him/her self might had messed up putting it together for You (only human right). Again, not hard or as complicated as it seems. You will use and see these same files over and over and over... That yellow curser thingy - very typical, easy to fix most of the time. Sometimes fixing it to me is the fun part, because usually I learn something new on what makes the game tick everytime. But the Boss was right. Read and search the help & tech, as most people have had the same problem, and if not, just reading will give you a ton of ideas!
