A friend of mine and I tried to play a game of multiplayer BC and... well, we can't see the game servers that each other try to host. We even tried direct IP'ing and we still couldn't connect. Any help, we really have no idea what to do
are you running on the same version? because if one of you is using MPMP 2.0 and the other one isnt using it, u cant see the game.
Won't work even if I disable the mutators? Gah... I'll just install to another directory, thanks!
i've had this problem on a fresh install. So it would still be helpful for other advice....
Find a new friend.
It still isn't working, does anyone know why we can't see each other's games?
Check your firewall settings (if you have one)
Goto a command prompt. On Win NT/2000/XP type: ipconfig /all On Win95/98/ME type: winipcfg Find the IP address of your LAN card.
Goto your other machine, and to a command prompt. type: Ping x.x.x.x where x is the IP Address of the Lan card you got above.
If it says 'request timed out', you have a problem with your network config.
