Okay, I searched the forums for this, but, it seems whenever someone has this problem, they figure out the solution themselves and don't bother to post back and say what they did...

Anyway.

I installed the cg_sovereign using BCMI. No Problem. Started a new single player campaign, and rescued the Sov, which showed up beautifully and without problem. After the attack on Biranu station, I get assigned the Sov, and everything is working fine. I kicked McCray's scottish butt, and those of the Klingons. But, a little after that, the game crashed out.

Now, when I go to reload my last save (e3m1), the game crashes out. I'm working off a fresh instal: Game, 1.1, foundation, foundation_fix, cg_sov, that's it. So I don't think any of the miss files were messed with. And the Sov WAS working, but as of that save, it doesn't.

Any ideas? Like, is there a way to skip missions or check the mission coding (py files, right? I tried looking at them in wordpad, but it was mostly squares), or si there something else I need to do?

And, no, I don't wanna wait for the supermod3.0... unless its already out and I just didnt notice o_o

Uhm, I can't find an "edit" button, so, pardon the double-post.

Restarted from Biranu, and the game only crashed once the Klingons came to join McCray durring the battle simulation wargame. I also tried running without Mutators... didn't work =(

what do you mean by "foundation_fix"?? also, you'll have to add Phased Plasma Torps to the CG Sovvy's hardpoints, as explained HERE

Uhm, i dunno, I had a file on one of my old backup CDs called "foundation_fix", which seemed to be an update to the main foundation files. Good call on the plasma torps... I'll have to find a py editor tho =)

I'll try and use just the normal foundation and see if that does anything...

You must have open the Pyc file thier compiled Binary (Don't try modiferying them yor'll crash the game unless you know binary or assembly programing)

Mweh, found a work-around: I played in testmode and just skipped over the two trouble-spots (Friendly battle with klingongs, plus getting plasma torps).

Say, I found somethig interesting in this playthru (not related to this at all, but i felt liek mentioning it): If you defeat all the ships that come after you once Data goes to explore Alioth6, a message pops up saying "Secret Quantums"... pretty nice reward for surviving that onslaught (except the cg_sov was barely scratcehd, heh).

Isn't the CG sovvy equipped with quantum pulse turrets? maybe i'm wrong, but if not, you don't need the torpedoes

Jimmy: I went there, but, the discussion made my head hurt. I realize it was only a matter of copy/past'ing, but for some reason, I still couldn't wrap my head around it. Thanks anyway =D
