I'm too cool to Post

I read that you can control the speed your going at warp, is this true? and if so how can you do it?
its in nano fx 2. but its a bug in the system. Its said when the finaly version of ATP 3 is out, the fix will be in it.
So when is NanoFX 2 and ATP3 going to be out? I thought I saw something out there saying ATP3 will be out in 2-3 months, but I don't know if this is true.
BTW, how would warp speed control work on only NanoFX 2 if there isn't any reason to change speed to meet certain scheduled times? I understand you can in ATP3 for the missions, but what difference does it make without it? I'd greatly appreciate any clarification. Thanx!
nano fx 2 is already out but only a beta version. ATP 3 is not out and realease is unknown.
Warp speed control just makes it more realistic. say your warping to the edge of the galaxy. would you use warp 1? and wait the 3 million seconds to warp into it? or hit warp nine and wait 20 to 30 seconds? Say you hafta use the rest room. Hit warp 5, you have time to head to the rest room, grab another cola and come back just as you warp in.
Trust me, I'm a Doctor

here is a link to a semi-solution for NanoFX 2 beta, it's not the best as it don't give you Real control, it just lets you change the speed to another fixed rate, but it is at least something: http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?t=114951
Heey Cpt. Fish, that is a pretty nifty idea. Do you think NanoByte will incorporate the whole time thing in the final version, because no matter where you warp, it says warp nine and the ETA's are all totally random. I remember it took 30 sec. to get from Vesuvi 4 to Vesuvi 5, but it took a shorter time going to the Vesuvi area from Omega Draconis. If it weren't random timing like that and it showed the ETA with the speed you may choose, then it could be very handy.

i wouldnt be surprised that with atp 3, the eta wont vary like that. as for the release of atp3, i would suggest a good 4-6 months if you want them to get it right.

your lucky, you caught me in another wi-fi hotspot. Atp will make it vary. I know this because one of the people over looking the beta test said that nanofx warp works well, jut droping outta warp doesn't end the cinimatic. which is a bug. It varys the warp speed by baseing it off the lowest number you set. Say you set your warp to 20 seconds. warp 9 will do it in 20 seconds. Warp 5 will times that close to 5. Giveing you the new eta
I think I get what you're talking about. But wouldn't it be easier to start off with the longest it could possibly take and then dividing by some number when you increase the warp speed? Also, I was wondering if there is a time limit on how long you can travel at a high warp speed. You know how sometimes ships have to travel at max warp but they can't do it forever. That would be cool.
So anybody know what's going on with the warp speed vs. eta deal, or should I just shut up and check elsewhere?
