yah there is

But to answer your question... have you tried increasing your ships weapons power?? becuase the Q torps are now pulses... the ammount of power you give them effects how many you can fire...

No, its not an Advanced Power Control related matter.

In KM, the weapon intensity can be changed in a percentage bar. The AI uses the default intensity setting, which is 50%. We usually budge that up to 100%, which makes the quantum torpedoes stronger, but only enables you to fire 2 or 3.. max.. Although we know it as quantum torpedoes, it is registered and scripted as a beam weapon.

If you decrease your beam intensity to approximately 70%, you should get a good 5~6 torpedo spread..

Hmmm I know the bar you speak of, under the torps in the hud where the phaser intensity used to be, right? Its titled 'phasers' as if it were just a more advanced phaser intensity setting then just high and low; it affects torps too? Also does this mean that it dont matter cause the dmg per q torp balances out with the number u can shoot in a burst?

your inquiries would no doubt be better explained if you posed them over at the KM forums... (the link nebula provided)

Well, the torpedoes are treated as pulse phasers, which goes under the "Phaser" or beam weapon category, and would therefore unrealistically be affected by the intensity percentage bar.
