Hey guys So I bought STBC a while back, played and beat the single player, and messed around with quick battles, but sadly after a while I lost interest. Recently I rediscovered the game on my computer and thought it would be fun to mess around some more. I looked for the CD and found it was scratched beyond use. Needless to say I was disheartened. So I went online and downloaded an ISO of the game. Normally I never would do something like this, but I had already purchased the game legally so i didn't think it was morally wrong and I wasn't trying to get out of paying or anything, so it wasn't violating why the laws had been made... :uhm: So again I played around with the quick battles and really enjoyed them. A friend of mine, I just found out, also plays from time to time and pointed me toward some mods. I had never used mods before and thought it would be pretty cool to get more than the, rather lacking, standard array of ships. I went online and downloaded BCMI and BCMP and foundation, etc etc everything I needed. I installed a few mods through the programs and it said the ships had been added to the game. I was happy. I go into the game, try to find the ships- but they're not there! I looked through the FAQ and saw you had to have the mutator menus turned on... but I cant find those :(... I'm completely lost. Could this have anything to do with the fact it's not the origonal cd? Or am I just stupid and can't find the menu... Heres some pics of what I'm seeing -.- http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b220/vladimirr/4.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b220/vladimirr/3.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b220/vladimirr/2.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b220/vladimirr/1.jpg Thanks in advance
To play the game you will pay for the game, sorry. No help from any of use untill you do.
No you didn't.
So I went online and downloaded an ISO of the game.
i already paid for the game and couldnt find it anywhere else. wtf. i dont know about you but im not made of money. i cant afford to go out and buy 10 copies of the same game.
You originally did yes, but no matter how you slice it DLing the ISO is ILLEGAL.
alright well you wanna lend me 100 bucks? this is ridiculous i have the box and everything. the company is not losing anything.
i saw that other thread about from the guy asking about his iso, but i thought you guys would be reasonable and look at the world a little objectivly; not blindly follow causes, take laws and such for the reason they were created and not for the literal wording. Those laws were made to prevent people from stealing from the companies who make the games, not to prevent people who purchased the game from playing it. If I knew were to get the game irl i could go back and maybe get a free disc because I purchased it. Go ahead and ban me or w/e your policy is if you feel that's what I deserve. 'til then I'll sit here and see if anyone will give me a decent responce. And in the future, itd be great if you'd avoid just trolling. You dont have to tell me what i already know, you can just move on if the thread doesn't interest you. Thanks for your time, jerk.

1) Look after your games.
2) A law's a law, who's to say you're not just lying?
3) You aren't a court, it isn't to you to decide where or how the law is applicable, nor are you above laws just because you're stupid.
4) There aint no game company in the world gonna give you a new free copy just cos you're stupid.
5) You asked for an answer, you got two now.
Sumtotal of both responses, you're stupid, and deserve no help.
