This is just a little problem I've been having with firing quantuum torpedoes from the sovereign class in KM 1.0
Whenever I do quick battle, the torpedoes do not load as fast, I can only fire 2 in succession, not four, and they don't load as fast. This is frustrating when versing other ships because it changes the power of the ship's weapons and gives it a disadvantage. When I'm in the thing before I start quick battle, where you're in the sovereign I can fire four quantuums, but whenever I start quick battle, I can only fire two. Other sovereigns on run by AI can fire four at a time. Does anyone else have this problem, and more implortantly does anyone know how to fix it? :confused:

I have the same... thing. I'm not sure it's a problem, it's just how the ship was hardpointed. If you want to fix it, just download MPE (Search BCF) and open the Sovereign, you can edit it from there. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go look in the MPE Learning Center.

Depending on how it's scripted, quantums are either pulse weapons or actual torpedo systems. If they're torpedo systems, then there's a drop down both in MPE that'll choose how many to load at a time. If they're pulses, then the maximum charge has to be increased. The power conduit has to be increased in both to speed up loading.
I'm not really experienced with MPE, what variables do I need to change? And what system do I need to select because there are lots of quantum subsystems.

Uhm, try _not_ to set the Phaser slider in the tactical view to the max.
It does effect the Sov Quantums...
That fixed it...the phaser slider lol
As usual the answer was right in front of me and I thought I had to do complex stuff when it was exceedingly simple. Thanks Defiant ^^
The Sovereign Quantums in KM1.0 are the worst i've seen.
