Does anyone know how to turn off some of the features in KM 1.0:confused: In other words, does anyone know what mutators i can turn off to get rid of the following things:mad: -ships rocking off course when they are hit by a torpedo -ships dissapearing as soon as they are destroyed instead of leaving fragments floating around on the map -innacurate phasers Any help would be really appreciated:)

well...i can understand the disappearing ships in KM is not really REAL...and is irritating...

but accurate phaser mod and ships rocking of course should be good for the game play...you really are in command of an starship then ;) besides..we don't really see it in star trek..but it is impossible to be hit by an torpedo and do not have an course change...

just throw a stone toward your bike ( not a litle one..but also not to big ;)) and see what is happening ;)...

just fire upon a friend with your water gun (while both of you are walking with different distances between eachother)....it is not that easy to hit him, right ;)

but yeah...if you want to ruin that gameplay...go ahead...i just don't know if the torpedo part is from KM....or bc itself...but the phaser part..i think you can find a mutator called as you called it...inaccurate phaser mod ;)

The trouble is, the inaccurate phasers are too inaccurate. In the far future, it stands to reason that the targetting computers could easily compensate for most things, and very quickly compensate for random movement.

my thoughts exactly! i would rather have them always hit than have them miss all of the time, but i can learn to live with that a new problem i have is the explosion radius of a borg cube. Every time i kill one, EVERYTHING else on the map dies because of the explosion radius and dammage. does anyone know where to turn that down?

Don't know about that

-ships dissapearing as soon as they are destroyed instead of leaving fragments floating around on the map

This is part of DS9FX, go to the config panel of DS9FX and dissable "Stabelize BC". That should help

-innacurate phasers

This is now included in FTech. Dissable the "Foundation Technologies" in the mutator menu, but be warned: Some ships use FTech for additional technologies, those won't work anymore (Including the Nebula's and Sovereign's pointdefence phasers, Defiant's ablative armour and the Intrepid's moving nacelles).

-big explosion

The Explosion is part of NanoFX, it creates the explosion dependig of the ships primary energyreactor. The explosion size is set in the NanoFX-Configpanel
