This is now the place to post any problems with either of the stargate packs rather than on the other thread which is meant for stargate ship requests. If you have any problems with either pack (or the third one when it's released) post them on here and i'll try to help, as i'm sure anyone else will be happy to.

If you are simply having trouble getting the ships in-game because you don't know what mutators are or what they do, i'm sure there must be a forum thread or two that explains what they are and how they work (this is mainly a problem that many who are new to the world of mods have experienced).

For some reason whenever i load up a daedalus class ship, no matter which one it is, all these yellow boxes appear around it. Do u know if theres a way to fix this :uhoh:

you need nanofx, the boxes are the blinkers on the ship, which don't work without nanofx

doesnt it say in the README that nanofx2 is required?

It does but do you realize how many people dont read readmes? Might aswell not send readmes along with mods.

Anyway, Im having a couple of issues with the 2nd pack I suspect since they didnt happen before installing it. They arnt major problems, just slightly irritating.

Problem 1: Whenever I am close to destroying the Supergate, active or inactinve, my game crashes to the desktop.

Problem 2: This has only happened after installing the second pack. Happens rarely on all my installed ships but mostly with the stargate ship packs but doesnt happen all the time. I set up an enemy ship (hatak, Korolev Ancient warship, etc.), when starting the battle, the camera view becomes fixed in an area in tactical view which is a large distence away from the battle and not with the ship I use. So it looks Im in a fully cloaked ship and the battle between my chosen ship and the enemy ship is taking place miles away from me.

Problem 3: The MVAM version of the BC-304 Odysey (with hanger doors open) has over written the U.S.S Odysey from the SNSGalaxy pack in a weird way. See screenshot to see what I mean Problem 3 is probably really easy to fix if I sit down and do it but I thought I would let you know anyway.

1) I think the problem with the supergate may be similar to one I had with the ancient warship, which is to do with the poly count being slightly more than BC can handle. Either that or it's to do with the texture mapping, since I had a similar problem with the Daedalus. Either way it'll be easy to fix but you'll have to wait for the third pack for the update. Since the supergate was supposed to be indestructable I never bothered testing to see what happens when it blows up!

2) This problem may wel be because I forgot to allign the viewscreen and first person cameras in the HP. Many of these have already been fixed for the third pack, but I still have a few to do.

3) This was because I didn't think to check if there were other ships on BCfiles that would be overwritten (too many to check really). Renaming either ship slightly should fix it, but i'll be sure to rename the Odyssey before releasing the third pack.

heh ya too true... readmes, search function, stickied threads, etc etc - why do we even have them when they always go ignored? lol

I know what you mean, you wouldn't believe how many e-mails i've had asking how to install the packs even though it's spelled out in the simplest, clearest way in the readme.

and then you get people that will throw a fit if clear exact directions or requirements aren't in the readme lol just can't win...

ah well... i guess we should try to drift back ontopic lol

I agree, I answered a few questions about how to install, it isn't hard, copy + paste

I have a problem, not really a glitch I don't think, but in the ancient warship the no target view on the viewscreen is of a big grey wall, like part of the ship is blocking it

Doesn't bother me much but I was curious about what was causing it and if it was an easy fix
