So, just what do any of you think is the best mod of BC ever? Take your time. On a side note, I'd like some tips on how to install a mod. I downloaded the mod packager already, but I don't understand what to do with it. I'd appreciate any help. :)

The best mod out there is Kobayashi Maru. http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Kobayashi_Maru_MPQB_Mod_Pack;48457 (mod) http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Kobayashi_Maru_Patch;52278 (patch) If you have an empty cd or deamon tools I highly recommend downloading this version (it includes KM 0.9 and the patch); It has an installer, nothing can go wrong. http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Kobayashi_Maru_Special_Edition_Vol_21_CD_Image;69202

How to install the CD image version (should always work): 1. First make sure you have a clean BC install without any mods. 2. Install the 1.1 patch 3. Insert the CD and install the mod in your directory (no you don't need any mod packagers) 4. Go to options and turn on all the Mutators!!!

How to install the normal version: 1. " 2. " 3. Extract the KM 0.9 mod into a new directory (extracting directly to BC can cause problems) 4. Then copy the contents of the folder to your BC directory, OVERWRITE :P 5. Do the same thing for the patch 6. Go to options and turn on all the Mutators!!!

don't forget to install KM 0.9.1 as well, after installing KM 0.9...

That's also the default method of installing mods - ie extract them and stick them into the BC directory.

IF (and only if) the mod is a ship/station and doesn't come with a pyc/py file in the plugins folder, THEN use BCMP to add the ship/station to the game (remembering to NEVER click on "filechecker" which causes havoc).

Some mods come as exe files and extract themselves straight into the directory, some mods come as .mod/.bcmod files which use BCMI to install like an exe. Some of these may or may not require BCMP to create plugins. If they immediately appear in the game (with mutators on) then they don't, if not then they do.

Always check requirements/conflicts on the download pages. Not all mods work together. Not all mods work without some other mod, which itself may have requirements/conflicts, going in first.

And if you like KM you should try BCS: The Beginning :bows: It works with KM (its actually more a requirement since you need nanofx and much more other stuff that is included in KM), although you wont be able to play multiplayer anymore. So make a seperate install if you still want to be able to play it online

There is a fix for the multiplayer issue on our forums :) I have a feeling it was included with KM:Pimped and the KM:PimpedPatch

("Provisionally Release Date: March "07 while it was planned to come out this month so I don't recommend "waiting" for the mod. And I have a feeling it'll be probably delayed again another month, not that its a big problem; I prefer to wait for a completed and stable version then to have an uncompleted buggy mod.)

Works with MP too? Cool now I can have both the BCS enhancements and MP!! Yes it is included in the Pimp...but I don't recommend KM pimped because nobody plays it at multiplayer and it is much more unstable (read "crashable") then KM .9.1.

It cannon work with mp, because you will have different scripts then other. Or maybe im wrong?

At the moment i am installing this image, but i have a big problem with all other mods. I have kopied many many files of mods in my BC-Folder and it worked. But then i must have installed a buggy one and the game was ruined. Now, i do the same again but it is as if i would not install any mods. Although those mods which need BCMI get installed without problems, but there is nothing in the game. I'm sorry if my English is bad, but i am German :) Can you help me in this case?? :( THX [CYT]sh@rp
