Me last night - "Ok, i have my STBC Disk, ooh, no scratches, thats nice to see.... ok open disk drive, insert disk....Autorun: Allow....Install Shield box, flag, thing....WTF, ok, black screen for a millisecond and now the disk has just...stopped spinning...i cant hear it anymore and nothings happening....no error box just....nothings happening" So im wondering... 'Is it a Good idea to Microwave This?' Well, before i resort to microwaving this im wondering if anyof you can tell me how to install BC onto my Vista Home Basic

Have you tried running in compatibility mode? And don't install BC to programfiles. Use some other directory like "games" instead.

Its in Compatability mode, Running with Admin Access and i dont get a chance to tell it where to install, the moment i hit *Install* on the main menu, a black screen flicks on for a millisecond then the cd just slows to a stop and nothing happens

Try copying the disk to your hard disk and install from there.

Have you tried running the setup exe directly from the disk instead of using the UI interface to start the installation process?
