*Update* I installed BCUT and BC nano effects. Unable to start in test mode. "There was an error while creating shortcut" I can start from a file in the folder on my drive, I renamed the file to stbc.exe and now my game will launch from the desktop icon. No more screen of death. Seems to be running a bit slow but it works. All the old ships I had previously downloaded are in the quick battle menu but do not work and crash the game. I am going to uninstall all the ships using BCUT and redownload them

So I could not get any new ships to show up and went with a system restore. Reinstalled the game. Added nano 2.0 foundation and BCUT. Game loads. Gives me the options screen but once I start a mission or quick battle the screen just stays dark with the music running ??? What the heck am I doing wrong here. Test Mode icon now works. Can only play game off of the disk

So it turns out it was the foundation that came with BCUT that was causing my issues. I have the game working with the ships I want with BCMI and BCMP and the latest foundation included with those. Nano2fxbeta also intalled.

Few pointers: -Install the game outside Program Files folder (applies to Vista/7) -Read the supplied BCUT documentation, select Basic Foundation for your game install type.
