Ulayhere. IF you plan on playing against anyone else they must have the EXACT same installed files as you. Even a single character edited in even one file will throw the two versions as being incorrect.

I would suggest backing up all the files you want (your edited ones, admrial's logs, saves etc), and putting somewhere safe. Then completely uninstall Armada2, and delete the folder that's left there afterwards. Reinstall the game, install the patch, and use the mod Manager from now on so you don't have to go through that process ever single time you want to play online.

Or instead of faffing about with the mod manager, just copy/paste the entire armada 2 directory to another drive or new named folder. Use one for mods, and then the other for online play.

Faffing Major??

I know that you're not fond of the Mod Manager but I still consider it to be one of the best utilities I have come across for A2. I can mod the conventional way but why make life hard if you don't have to??

Plus with the Mod Manager, my 2 sons & I can each play a different mod without having to bother with multiple copies of the game or having to reinstall all the time!!

I'd still recommend it to anyone!! :D

Actually porty, its not the mod manager I don't like using. Its a certain program UTVM (I think thats the right initials), which I don't particularly like using. mind you. I'll still give Chris_g's new version of his prog an test at some point and see if it performs to high standards. The original program was good once you got to know how to use it properly. Its just a bit awkward with a few things (very un-user friendly as far as I'm concerned)

Fair enuff!! :D

I agree, could never work it myself though those that could seemed to think it was OK. I have downloaded the new one but have not tried it yet. Hopefully will get to it over the weekend.
